Blog

    blogging with the Amils.

On the Phoenix Preacher website I've been in the company of some interesting characters that have been giving their take on Revelation.  The standpoint of one who calls himself Martin Luther's Disciple (MLD)has shown how the book of Revelation is interpreted from an Amillennium-Lutheran perspective. I suspect that he is referring constantly to his book of the Concordia or some other catechism he has on him most of the time. He's become a little cocky since his acrid sense of humor tempered with arrogance has driven off the Okie Preacher and another guy who calls himself Doulos.  Doulos became downright angry with MLD's pointed comments.  Both Doulos and Okie Preacher are Calvary Chapel pastors that hold to a dispensational outlook of Revelation.

A second Amil that calls himself Babylon's Dread aka Dread the Untouchable makes these long posts that highlight the spiritual and symbols found in Revelation.  His avatar is the actor Patrick Stewart (captain on Star Trek New Generation) with a 666 on his forehead.  Dread is rather long winded but an encyclopedia of Amillennial information.  He teases with his comments to draw fire from the dispensationalists that are out there reading but unwilling to join the fray. Dread pastors a charismatic fellowship in Albuquerque.  His quick wit and understanding of the blogosphere is a great asset when the community is in disorder. He champions himself as a sergeant of arms on the blog and does a good job of it.

A more worrisome character is a full-preterist that calls himself PMike.  His contention is that all of Revelation is fulfilled including that the resurrection of believers is past.  He was warned that to ascribe to that teaching is poison. The Apostle Paul warned Timothy of two notorious heretics that were saying the same thing back in the first century.  I am hoping this fellow sees the light and adjusts his views to be at least a partial-preterist and abandons this heresy he is holding tight to.

It's been interesting reading the different view of what I was used to.  I'll post with a bouquet of daisies when I am nice and when I feel militant I post with the crusader knight as my avatars. I might do a summary of what I've learned there and post it here.  Below are the moniker photos (avatars) of MLD and Babylon Dread without the 666.
